In 2011, Turner & Porter proudly celebrates 137 years of service.  Now with the 6th generation of the Porter Family involved in the company, we continue to serve by the standard established by Frederick Turner and Thomas Porter. 

While our uncompromised service standard remains our foundation, we feel it is essential that we train our staff to recognize and respond to family traditions, customs and religions.

 As one of Canada's largest family owned funeral companies, Douglas Porter still believes "we still operate like a family firm, it's very important that our people are happy in what they do."

'The Difference is in the Details' is our service philosophy that explains not all funeral service providers are alike.  It is reflected in our staff training; our service standard and practices; and our overall conduct and participation in our community.

It is important for you to know that when you call us, you are speaking with Turner & Porter staff rather than an outside service.  Our Directors and funeral staff are extensively trained in all aspects of our service enabling us to serve all faiths, customs and traditions. 

We realize that families need assistance after their time with us so we offer C.O.P.E.S., a bereavement support group (Events), An Evening with Dr. Alan Wolfelt and an estate review with one of our Aftercare Directors.
